DraftKings have signed a partnership deal with the Baltimore Ravens. That makes it a total of five NFL teams that the sports betting and daily fantasy site has signed a deal with.
Just how long the deal is for has not been disclosed. What we do know is that the deal sees DraftKings become the official daily sports partner and official betting and free-to-play partner of the Ravens.
Fans attending Ravens matches at the M&T Bank Stadium will see DraftKings branding. Not just that but DraftKings will also have access to a suite in the stadium. There will also be content on the Ravens’ official podcast and the Baltimore WBAL-190 News Radio’s Gameday Insider pre-game show, so it’ll be hard to miss them.
It’s good new for fans of the NFL team. There will be competitions that will give them the chance to win autographed merchandise. Also, there will be the opportunity to win tickets for away games by playing daily fantasy and sportsbook contests plus the DraftKings NFL Official Free-to-Play game.
“The newly penned relationship offers something for every kind of sports fan and will allow them to engage with DraftKings’ digital content, free-to-play product, daily fantasy sports and, perhaps soon, sports betting, to ultimately bring them closer to the action alongside one of the top teams from the AFC North,” DraftKings’ chief business officer Ezra Kucharz commented.
Kevin Rochlitz is the Ravens’ chief sales officer and talking about the deal he said: “This partnership reflects our continued commitment to delivering unique engagement experiences for our fans. We’re proud to collaborate with an industry leader in DraftKings, and we look forward to seeing the innovative ways in which we’ll better connect with the Ravens fans across our many platforms.”
There is also some sponsorship on the golfing fairways. FanDuel have signed a multi-year deal with Jordan Speith. FanDuel are already an official sports betting partner of the PGA tour in the USA. Speith will now appear in TV commercials and he’ll co-ordinate with the sportsbooks social media contact.
Speith has won three Majors and is currently ranked 12th in the world. This year has seen him win the Texan Open and finish second in the Open Championship. Speaking about his deal with FanDuel, the American said: “As the world of legal sports betting grows rapidly in the US, I’m incredibly excited about what’s happening in the space and the potential it has to bring new fans to the sport of golf. I look forward to working with FanDuel to find unique ways to engage the fast-growing fanbase.”
