EuroMillions Superdraw Confirmed for June 17

A EuroMillions Superdraw has been announced for Friday June 17. The odds of this one taking place after April’s cancellation are looking good. Will this be the draw that makes you a multi-millionaire?

The current plan is that on the third Friday of June, the EuroMillions jackpot will be enhanced to €130 million (approximately £110 million). If the jackpot isn’t won, then it will rollover to the next draw on Tuesday June 21.

If the jackpot keeps on rising, it can reach 230 million euros which would be a EuroMillions record top prize.

There has been one EuroMillions Superdraw held this year. That took place on February 4 and a ticket sold in the UK won the €130 million (£109 million) top prize. That ended a run of two Superdraws in which the enhanced jackpot wasn’t won.

The second Superdraw was due to take place on April 29 but didn’t take place. Why? Well, it wasn’t going to be that super because of a long run without there being a win. No EuroMillions jackpot had been won for over a month and the top prize had already gone through the 130 million euros mark.

That meant for only the second time in the history of the lottery, the EuroMillions Superdraw was cancelled. Eventually, the jackpot was won on May 10 by Joe and Jess Thwaite from Gloucester, England. They won a £184,262,899 top prize, the largest amount ever won by a UK ticket.

With less than two weeks to the EuroMillions Superdraw, the current jackpot is £44 million. There’s no chance that it will get above the enhanced jackpot due on June 17, so this time the Superdraw will go ahead.

Will the EuroMillions Superdraw produce another win for France? They are enjoying a successful 2022 to date with three of the seven jackpot wins so far this year. That’s taken them to a record 119 tickets that have won the top prize. The UK are three behind on 116 with Spain a further two behind.

Up to and including the Friday June 3 draw, France were the last EuroMillions jackpot winners. A ticket sold there won a 50.6 million euros jackpot in the draw held on May 25. Of their three jackpot wins in 2022, the highest has been the €67.4 million in January. Both of the £100 million plus EuroMillions wins this year have been won by UK tickets.

France currently holds the record EuroMillions jackpot win. That was the €220 million top prize won in October 2021.

To win the jackpot in the EuroMillions Superdraw, players have to match the five main balls and the two Lucky Numbers. They then have the option to remain anonymous or as was the case with the Thwaites, go public.

You don’t even have to choose your own numbers. The record UK winners played with a Lucky Dip. Perhaps that will be the way you become multi-millionaires?
